Renekton has become quite a popular champion and with a natural naturally aggressive kit, no cost moves that automatically become more powerful with 50 fury plus an ultimate that allows him to 2v1 at level 6 what’s there not to love?
My question is why does no one ever used the slice/dice fury bonus, it’s always Fury Cull of the Meek or Fury Ruthless predator, before you answer let’s look at his Kit.
Passive: Renekton gains 5 fury per auto attack and generates 50% more fury when below 50% health.
Q: Cull of the Meek - Renekton swings his blade dealing physical damage to nearby enemies and healing for 5% of the damage dealt up to a cap. Heal amount is quadrupled against champions. Each target hit grants 5 fury.
When Renekton has 50 or more fury he deals 50% additional damage and heals for 10% of the damage dealt, the healing cap is tripled. Consumes 50 fury.
W: Ruthless Predator - Renekton’s next attack will swing twice dealing physical damage and stunning his target for 0.75 seconds. Each hit applies on-hit effects and grants fury.
When Renekton has 50 or more fury his next attack will swing three times, dealing physical damage and stunning his target for 1.5 seconds. Each hit applies on-hit effects, but does not grant fury. Consumes 50 fury.
E: Slice and Dice – (Slice) Renekton dashes forward, dealing physical damage to targets along the way. If he hits a target he gains the ability to use Dice for 4 seconds.
(Dice) Renekton dashes, dealing physical damage along the way.
When Renekton has 50 or more fury Dice deals 50% additional damage and reduces the armor of targets hit for 4 seconds. Consumes 50 fury.
R: Dominus: Renekton empowers himself with dark energies, gaining increased size and health for 15 seconds. While empowered, he deals magic damage to nearby enemies and generates 5 fury per second.
My point of View:
I understand using the fury on Cull of the Meek is great for both sustain and quick farming and fury on his Ruthless predator offers great extra damage plus an elongated stun but the fury on dice cuts an enemies armor by 50% so in an all-in situation would he not do more damage?
(Before anyone answers “Because if Renekton uses dice offensively he loses his only escape” this question is solely for the situation when renekton is going for the kill or is capable of forcing an enemy away from minions/out of lane without risk of a gank or counterattack)
